Most of our prayer lives could use a tune-up. Some prayer lives lack consistency. They're either a desert or an oasis. Long, arid, dry spells interrupted by brief plunges into waters of communion . . .
Others of us need sincerity. Our prayers are a bit hollow, memorized, and rigid. More liturgy than life. And though they are daily, they are dull.
Still others lack, well, honesty. We honestly wonder if prayer makes a difference. Why on earth would God in heaven want to talk to me? If God knows all, who am I to tell him anything? If God controls all, who am I to do anything? . . .
Our prayers must be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference

The Greenhouse of The Heart
Think for a moment of your heart as a greenhouse . . . And your heart, like a greenhouse, has to be managed. Consider for a moment your thoughts as seed. Some thoughts become flowers, others become weeds. Sow seeds of hope and enjoy optimism. Sow seeds of doubt and expect insecurity . . .
The proof is everywhere you look. Ever wonder why some people have the Teflon capacity to resist negativism and remain patient, optimistic and forgiving? Could it be that they have diligently sown seeds of goodness and are enjoying the harvest? Every wonder why others have such a sour outlook? Such a gloomy attitude? You would, too, if your heart were a greenhouse of weeds and thorns.

Blessings at God's Table
Pause and envision the scene in (God's) riyal dining room . . . Driven not by out beauty but by His promise. He call us to himself and invites us to take a permanent place at his table . . . We take our place next to the other sinners-made-saints and we share in God's glory. May I share a partial list of what awaits you at His table? You are beyond condemnation (Rom 8:1), You are a member of His Kingdom (Col 1:13), You have been adopted (Rom 8:15), You have access to God at any moment (Eph 2:18), You will never be abandoned (Heb 13:5), You have an imperishable inheritance (1 Peter 1:4)

God's Good Timing
Why does God wait until money is gone? Why does He wait until sickness has lingered? Why does He choose to wait until the other side of the grave to answer the prayers for healing? I don't know. I only know His timing is always right. I can only say He will do what is best . . . Though you hear nothing, he is speaking. Though you see nothing, he is acting. With God there are no accidents. Every incident is intended to bring us closer to HIm
God's Good Gifts
Ever feel like you have nothing? Just look at the gifts (God) has given you:-
He has send his angels to care for you, His Holy Spirit to dwell in you, His church to encourage you, and His word to guide you . . . Anytime you speak, he listens; make a request and he responds. He will never let you be tempted too much or stumble too far. Let a tear appear on your cheek, and He is there to wipe it. Let a love sonnet appear on your lips, and he is there to hear it. As much as you want to see Him, He wants to see you more . . . You have been chosen by Christ . . . He has claimed you as His beloved.

Just The Way You Are
It's dangerous to sum up grand truths in one statement, but I'm going to try. If a sentence or two could capture God's desire for each of us, it might read like this:-
God loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus
God loves you just the way you are. If you think his love for you would be stronger if your faith were, you are wrong. If you think his love would be deeper if your thoughts were, wrong again. Don't confuse God's love with the love of people. The love of people often increases with performance and decreases with mistakes. Not so with God's love. He loves you right where you are.

At Home With God
God wants to be your dwelling place. He has no interest in being a weekend gateway or a Sunday bungalow or a summer cottage. Don't consider using God as a vacation cabin or an eventual retirement home. He wants you under His roof now and always. He wants to be your mailing address, your point of reference; he wants to be your home . . .
For many this is a new thought. We think of God as a deity to discuss, not a place to dwell. We think of God as a mysterious miracle worker, not a house to live in. We think of God as a creator to call on, not a home to reside in. But our Father wants to be much more. He wants to be the one in whom "we live and move and have our being.

God Listens
You can talk to God because God listens. Your voice matters in heaven. He takes you very seriously. When you enter His presence, he turns to you to hear your voice. No need to fear that you will be ignored. Even if you stammer or stumble, even if what you have to say impresses no one, it impresses God, and He listens. He listens to the painful plea of the elderly rest at home. He listens to the gruff confession of the death-row inmate. When the alcoholic begs for mercy, when the spouse seeks guidance, when the businessman steps off the street into the church, God listens. Intently, carefully

A Complete Restoration
God loves to decorate. God has to decorate. Let him live long enough in a heart, and that heart will begin to change. Portraits of hurt will be replaced by landscapes of grace. Walls of anger will be demolished and shaky foundations restored. God can no more leave a life unchanged than a mother can leave her child's tear untouched . . .
This might explain some of the discomfort in your life. Remodeling of the heart is not always pleasant.
God envisions a complete restoration. He won't stop until he is finished . . . He wants
you to be just like JESUS.

Each Day
It's quiet. It's early. My coffee is hot. The sky is still black. The world is still asleep. The day is coming.
In a few moments the day will arrive. It will roar down the track with the rising of the sun. The stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for the noise of the day. The calm of solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the human race. The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by decisions to be made and deadlines to be met.
For the next twelve hours I will be exposed to the day's demands. It is now that I must make a choice.
I'm free to choose:-
I choose Love ... No occasion justifies hatred; not injustice warrants bitterness. I choose love. Today I will love God and what God loves.
I choose Joy ... I will invite my God to be God of circumstance. I will refuse the temptation to be cynical ... the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see God.
I choose Peace ... I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.
I choose Patience ... I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I'll invite him to do so. Rather than complain that the wait is too long. I will thank God for a moment to pray. Instead of clinching my fist at new assignments,
I will face them with joy and courage.
I choose Kindness ... I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. Kind to the rich, for the afraid. And kind to the unkind, for such is how God has treated me.
I choose Goodness ... I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I will accuse. I choose goodness.
I choose Faithfulness ... Today I keep my promises. My debtors will not regret their trust. My associates will not question my word.
I choose Gentleness ... Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice may it be only praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.
I choose Self-control ... I am a spiritual being ... after this body is dead, my spirit will soar. I refuse to let what will rot, rule the eternal. I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy. I will be impassioned only by my faith. I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ. I choose self-control.
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. To these I commit my day. If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then, when this day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest.

On Eagles' Wings
Isaiah 's words about patiently waiting for the Lord anticipate the future with confidence hope. From my place of trial, i wait for salvation that is certain to come. Jesus assured His followers, "Blessed are those who mourn. for they shall be comforted" ( Matthew 5:4)
Knowing that my destiny is glorious, which is the sure hope of heaven, I 'm able to pick up my pace here on earth. Though weary, I can stretch the wings of my faith and fly! I can walk the path of obedience and not get tired. I can move through routine days and not get weary. A better world is coming, when my spirit will call me to action and my body will run and leap and fly! This is my hope.
I can be steadfast, patient, and joyful in spite of deep weariness: kind and calm, less focused on my frailty and fatigue; more concerned about others than I am about myself; ready to speak a loving word to those who are struggling. I can get ready now for the day my soul will take flight.

I am a little weary of my life -
Not Thy life, blessed Father! Or the blood
Too slowly laves the coral shores of thought,
Or I am weary of weariness and strife.
Open my soul-gates to Thy living flood;
I ask not larger heart-throbs, vigor-fraught,
I pray Thy presence, with strong patience rife.

When I'm weary in life's struggles, I can find my rest in the Lord

Inner Turmoil
Satan loves to distract us with criticism and he tries to get us to use it on others as well as ourselves. We judge prematurely and try to correct others before we know what they're saying. That's what Eli the priest did when Hannah was crying out to God. He interrupted her prayer and accused her of being drunk (1 Samuel 1:12-14).
But God let us pour out our hearts to Him in full honesty (Psalms 62:8). In fact, the Psalms indicates that it is when we are expressing our doubts and fears that God resolves them. Many Psalms that begin in despair and ens in praise (22;42;60;69;73).
When a battle is raging inside, pour out your soul before the Lord (1 Samuel 1:15). He can make sense out of what seems senseless.

When turmoil seems to hold full sway
And be the rules of the day,
I'll open up my heart and find
That God with peace ease my mind.
And be the rules of the day,
I'll open up my heart and find
That God with peace ease my mind.
Prayer does not make God see things as we see them; is helps us see things as God sees them.

Miracles
On Tuesday 13 Feb 2007, I brought my dad for a medical appointment to see a doctor as he was feeling pain. So i decided to bring him too see the doctor and the doctor said that he has to a major operation immediately and the doctor schedule for Thursday 15 February 2007. When the doctor said operation my heart started beating fast & started to worry.
I want to thank God for the operation which went very smoothly & successfully. I also want to thank a team of prayer warriors who stand in the gap with me to pray for my dad. I specially want to thank my cell members who had always been with me in my times of difficult situation and also want to thank Pastor Dennis, Auntie Laura as well as Laoban (Lester) for all their prayers & encouragement during this time of crisis.

Satan's Secret
A driving instructor in Germany was stopped by police after a minor accident with a truck. When asked for his driver's license, he wouldn't not provide one. He had been instructing students fro more than 40 years on how to drive; yet he didn't have his own license! Years earlier, he had failed a driving test, & he was fearful of trying again. He kept this fact a secret out of embarrassment.
Satan also has a secret in his past that he doesn't want to people to learn about His secret? He no longer has the power to separate us from God. Our enemy doesn't want anyone to know this truth because he desire to keep nonbelievers controlled by sin & believers entangled in it.
It's true that because of sin we were separated from God, but when Jesus died on the cross, He bore our sins & took on Himself our punishment of death. God then raised Jesus from the dead, & now He reigns in heaven.
When we trust in what Jesus has done for us, a relationship with God begins & sin no longer has control over us. The apostle Paul wrote, "Sin shall have no dominion over you" (Roman 6:14). We are no longer separated from God. We are set free from bondage (V.18). Satan's secret is out in the open.
God always stands between the Christian & the enemy
